Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society

MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION

Before we can open our doors to the public, we require the help of many volunteers, including skilled trades people, to renovate the existing buildings to make them suitable for housing cats and dogs. We are hoping to attract persons with technical or trade skills as well as people who can assist with general labour to help and those who can help with landscaping and outdoor projects.

The following volunteer positions are currently available at the Safe Haven

Construction	Install lighting, electricity and water Erect chain link fencing Replace the roofs on two barns Install windows Build dog kennels Paint Operate Bobcat and/or tractor General labour Install siding
Indoor Maintenance	Paint Minor repairs Clean windows
Outdoor Maintenance	Mow and water lawn Weed and water flower gardens Clean and repair picnic tables and benches Clean exterior doors and windows Paint and minor repairs as needed Hang and/or replace business signs as needed Maintain garden and building tools Organize and stock garden and tool shed
Ongoing Work Bee's	Tuesdays & Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. If you have special equipment that you can operate, please call 604-794-7233 to arrange a time to bring out your equipment and volunteer.
