Volunteer Opportunities

COMMUNICATIONS

Communication is the heartbeat of the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society. Without effective communication the internal structure of the society will crumble. As we attempt to operate through the efforts of volunteers, it is of the utmost importance that our communication level is of the highest standard.

Currently, the following volunteer positions are available at the Safe Haven

Clerical

We will need people to assist with clerical duties such as maintaining and updating our volunteer and membership lists.

Telephone

Committee

Often it is necessary to contact members to inform them of upcoming events. In addition to passing on news, there are also instances where telephone committee members are requested to solicit volunteers for specific tasks such as fundraising events, construction, pick-up and delivery of cats and dogs to and from vets, training and education, etc.

Newsletter

We require individuals who are willing to assist in publishing monthly newsletters for our membership. Gathering, compiling and processing information in a newsletter format is a primary task.

Public Relations

Volunteers are the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society's ambassadors. We rely on our communications volunteers, as well as ALL volunteers, to engage in conversation with the public to promote the society's endeavours whenever possible. Therefore, it is important that the information you pass on is accurate.
