The Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society is dedicated to saving homeless cats, helping pets stay in loving homes, and cultivating respect and awareness for the rights and needs of animals.

We believe adoption is vital; abandoned cats desperately need loving homes. But we cannot merely "adopt" our way out of the homeless animal problem. We must also reduce the number of animals at risk. There's an old saying that the ultimate goal of animal shelters is to put themselves out of business -- to realize the dream of a day when there are no more homeless cats. If every community reduced the number of animals at risk, we would be much closer to achieving that dream.

Donations, volunteers, and new members are always welcome. Or just to stop by for a visit any time during our office hours! Our adoptees would love to meet you. Thanks for visiting!

CAT OF THE MONTH - BG [January 18, 2015]
Born 2008 - Black & White - (SF) (DSH)
BG was brought to the Safe Haven because her owners could not afford to take her to the vet. When she first arrived it was discovered that BG had large kidney stones that had to be removed. Since that time she hasn't had any medical issues. She is a very friendly girl, loves attention and gets along well with other cats.
If you are interested in giving BG a forever home please contact the Haven at 604-794-7233.
